Carlos Alberto Martínez Ferrero
martinez.carlos@iau.uzCarlos Alberto Martínez Ferrero received a law degree from the University of Leon in the Faculty of Law in 1993. In 1994 he moved to work in the UK. He worked from 1994-1995 in London in the field of taxation in the Pell-Frishman Group, in 1995-2003. he served as managing director of the London Bookstore Network (The Book Warehouse). In 2008-2009 received a Master’s degree in European Union Law from LLM U.N.E.D (Faculty of Law, Madrid, Spain). In 2012-2013 Postgraduate Postgraduate Certificate (PG) in Special Studies in Teaching and Learning, University of Westminster (UK). In 2016, PhD student PhD U.N.E.D State Law (Constitutional Law), thesis topic: “The effectiveness of child protection systems”. Carlos Martinez’s teaching activities began between 2003 and 2006 at the University of Economics and World Diplomacy and at the University of Westminster as a volunteer lecturer, a native Spanish speaker. He taught Spanish language and literature at the Faculty of Spanish at the Uzbek State University of World Languages. From September 2015 to May 2018, at the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent as a lecturer, taught the course “Business Law”. From 2006-20015, at the University of Westminster, he led the module “Constitutional Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution” (ADR), European Union and International Human Rights Law. Currently, the field of scientific interests aims to continue studying the socio-political developments in Central Asia and to protect the international rights of minors. In 2010-2011 he served as a leader of a summer camp organised by the University of Westminster under the auspices of the British Council and the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since February 2020, he has worked as a lawyer at Waterson Developments and Maxsusenergogaz. The Spanish Ambassador in Moscow, with the prior approval of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, appointed Carlos Alberto Martínez Ferrero as Honorary Consul of Spain in Uzbekistan on 9 January 2020. The patent with the assignment was granted and initialised on 7 February 2020.
