Module Description
This module is designed to introduce the key concepts of animal biology and apply them to the context of animal productivity. The aim of this module is to develop students’ understanding of the relationship between animal anatomy and physiology and their productivity. Students will explore the main body systems and compare differences between the livestock species. This will help to demonstrate how those differences shape the livestock husbandry and management choices. Students will undergo a range of practical activities, including nutritional analysis of feed, which would provide them with the basic laboratory skills needed in Livestock science. |
