
Anvar Tursunov
Anvar Tursunov is the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at the International Agriculture University in Tashkent. With a strong academic and professional background in finance, banking, and economics, he has held various leadership positions in higher education and financial institutions.
Dr. Tursunov earned his PhD in Economics from Tashkent State University of Economics, building on his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree from the Tashkent Institute of Finance, where he specialized in financial accounting, management, marketing, and taxation.
Before assuming his current role, he served as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Extramural Education Faculty at the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he played a key role in academic development and faculty management. He has also contributed to academia as an Associate Professor in the Department of International Economics at Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent, delivering lectures on Islamic Banking, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and Management.
Dr. Tursunov has extensive experience in financial analysis, having worked as a Financial Analyst at Maselko LLC and as a Lecturer at the Tashkent Institute of Finance, focusing on budget accounting, financial systems, and economic policies. His early career included a role as a Leading Specialist at Agrobank, where he was responsible for debit card services and customer relations.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Tursunov has an extensive research portfolio with over 20 published papers in international and national journals. He has authored textbooks on Budget Systems and Budget Accounting and has presented his research at international conferences in the USA, Turkey, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom. He also holds a Certificate in Islamic Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia.
