Students’ Social and Civic Life

The Department of Social Science and Civic Life (SSCL) fosters learning experiences that build the skills, knowledge, and habits necessary for students to effectively contribute to and participate in the social, political, and economic life of their communities and world.

The department also is the frontline staff of higher education. They work with students every day, helping them find a way to achieve their dreams and helping them with academics, financial aid, student employment, athletics and more.

And student service division may also be responsible for managing certain aspects of the student life cycle at their institution. This might include overseeing new student orientation programs or coordinating activities that help students make connections with other students, faculty members, alumni, etc.
